Switching the Nobi Light ON and OFF Automatically

• Turn light on automatically = Nobi automatically turns on the light when a person is entering the room.
• Turn light off automatically = Nobi turns of the light as soon as it detects no longer a person in the room. Additionally a time frame needs to be set: after how many seconds Nobi should turn off the light.

Where and How to activate this function ?

• Open the Nobi menu and click on the compartment “Housing Units”.
• Click on the “Edit” button at the back of the chosen housing unit.

• Click on the 3 small bullets in the room where you want to activate the automatic lighting. (lower right corner) 
• A short menu is presented: click on “Edit Device”.

• Check “Turn light on” and “Turn light off automatically” to activate this function.

• If checking “Turn light off automatically” you can stipulate after how many seconds Nobi has to turn off the light.
• Use the “Save” button to keep the added settings.
• If done correctly a pop-up is shown “Successfully updated”.
• From then on the light will automatically turn on when a person is entering the room and turn off after 25 seconds when no person is detected in the room.
• Of course you can keep using the wall switch too.

• This functionality is secondary to the automatic night light: as long as Nobi detects a person in bed, the light will not turn on when care staff comes in briefly to check on the resident.
