Nobi interprets images with the pose “lying on the floor” as a legitimate “FALL” when it is not the case:
- Resident kneels down with a purpose (looking for something under the bed, his slippers,…)
- Resident has visitors (pedicure, family, an animal,…)
- Caretaker kneels down to help the resident with: putting bindings on, washing legs and feet, ….
- Blanket and clothing are lying on the floor or chair with the “posture of a human”.
Can we do something about it ?
False positive escalations will always occur, but:
- Nobi can learn from false positive escalations
- Making small changes in the room can sometimes make a big difference (lay-out, furniture position, changing an angle of a chair,....
- Snoozing the escalation is an option to consider when the resident has visitors.
E.g. resident searching under the bed for her shoes.
E.g. Caretaker puts the residents bindings on.
E.g. clothing (a coat) left on a chair.
