In a silent escalation, help is automatically summoned in the event of a detected fall, without spoken interaction with the resident. This feature is especially designed for residents with cognitive impairments to avoid causing them distress.
In short, the lamp does not speak.
You need to set this with the resident at the housing unit level
- click on residents
- click on edit at the end of the resident concerned
- click on the tab housing units settings.
- under sound click on No voice
- Click on save
For double rooms, the resident's most privacy settings that are most restrictive are applied.
Added Value of Silent Escalation
The silent escalation contributes to a safer environment for residents, particularly those with cognitive impairments, by efficiently detecting fall incidents and swiftly summoning assistance, without direct interaction or questioning. This minimizes fear and confusion for people with cognitive impairments, as interaction with a talking lamp can be overwhelming.
