Congratulations on the delivery of your

Nobi Partnership.

The purpose of this kit is to enable you to experience first hand how powerful the Nobi solution is and be able to demonstrate Nobi in a convincing way to your potential customers.

It is vital that you fully understand the purpose and functions of the Nobi solution before showing it to potential customers. Getting to know Nobi needs a team of 2 people where one person acts as the Nobi user and the other person as care staff.

In addition to this document, online courses are available at

nobi.life/training.

This box includes:

x 1 functional Nobi Lamp

x 1 Nobi ceiling mount kit

x 1 functional Nobi wall switch to switch the LED lighting of Nobi on and off.

x Wall plugs to mount Nobi and Nobita (6) x Screws to mount Nobi and Nobita (6)
x Allen wrench
x Hexagonal bolds (4)

Installation Process

The mounting of Nobi should take no longer than 10 minutes
The mounting of the Nobi wall switch takes no longer than 5 minutes
The onboarding process including connecting any accessories (like blood pressure meters or scales) should take no longer than 2 minutes

Nobi mounting

1

Take Nobi out of the box and place it on a flat surface.

2

Take the ceiling mounting plate out of
the box together with 2 screws and 2 plugs.

3

Remove the existing light (if there is one) form the ceiling exposing 3 electrical wires (Earth, Neutral and Switched Line). Make sure you know what wire is what. Usually Neutral is blue and Earth is green/yellow. These colours might differ depending on the country or local electrical installation requirements and habits. Don’t use the black wire.

The Switched Line will normally be bridged by a bluetooth component behind the wall switch. Only in the DEMO environment it is
important to keep the lamp on constant

power by keeping the light switch ON.

4

Hold the base plate against the ceiling and mark the 2 holes where the screws need to go.

5

Drill the holes to appropriate depth using a 6 mm drill.

6

Put the plugs in the holes, hold the baseplate on the ceiling and run the electrical wires throught the hole.

7

Place and tighten the screws making sure the baseplate is firmly fixed to the ceiling.

Scherm_afbeelding_2023-02-28_om_13.25.22.png

8

Connect the 3 electrical wires to the connector in the Nobi mounting base.

9

Gently push the mounting base on the baseplate and align the 4 holes where the hexagonal screws need to come.

10

Put in the 4 screws and tighten them with the provided Allen wrench.

11

At this moment you have 3 steel cables and 1 power cable hanging down from the Nobi mounting base.

Scherm_afbeelding_2023-02-28_om_13.27.19.png

12

Next, hold Nobi and slide the 3 steel wires in the provided holes. You can slide in as much cable as necessary to put Nobi on the desired height.

13

By sliding the cables, make sure that Nobi hangs horizontally on the ceiling (the use of a spirit level is recommended at this stage).

14

You are now ready to switch the electricity back on.

15

Nobi should boot (the LED bottom rings blinks blue indicating that Nobi is ready for onboarding).

Types of switches

Switches remains in the position that they are set by a human action. There are 2 important types of switches:

  2. 4-way switches: switches with 4 connections, and the connections are toggling between the horizontal position, and the crossed position (see figures at the left side)

Scherm_afbeelding_2023-02-28_om_14.02.41.png

Push buttons

Push buttons are only changing position when someone is pushing on the button. Without action they remain in their default status. A push button exists in 2 different versions, depending in the default status:

Your lamp is now still in learning mode.
This means that the lamp still needs some time to learn the environment. This takes about 1 to 2 weeks.
After this period, you may contact support to disable learning mode. This can be done simply by pressing the question mark and do not forget to indicate which lamp it concerns in which site.

You are now ready to use and test your Nobi lamp.
