• How to Pause notifications in the Second Line Assessor App

    This article explains how to pause and resume notifications in the Second Line Assessor App. It helps you manage your availability so you only receive evaluation requests when you are ready.

    What

    In the Second Line Assessor App, you can pause notifications for a selected period or until you manually resume them.

    You can choose from preset durations, set a custom time, or enable an infinite pause.

    When notifications are paused:

    • A yellow banner appears on the home screen showing:
      • Notifications Paused
      • Remaining time until notifications resume
    • You will not receive new evaluation requests during this period
    • Notifications automatically resume when the selected time ends, unless you chose an infinite pause

    Why

    Pausing notifications ensures that you do not receive evaluation requests when you are unavailable.

    This helps prevent missed or delayed evaluations and allows you to stay focused when you are actively using the app.

     

    Detailed steps

    Pause notifications

    1. Open the Second Line Assessor App.
    2. Tap on your profile icon at the top of the screen.
    3. Select Pause notifications.
    4. Alternatively, when a new evaluation pops up to be evaluated, press Pause notifications.
    5. Choose one of the following options:

      • 10 minutes
      • 20 minutes
      • 1 hour
      • 2 hours
      • 3 hours
      • 8 hours

      Or:

      • Set a custom duration (hours and minutes)
      • Select Pause Until Turned Off to pause notifications until you resume them manually
    6.  Notificaitons will now be paused. The remaining time will appear on the Home screen. 

       

    Please note: notification will stay paused even if the user signs out.

    Resume notifications

    1. On the home screen, locate the yellow notification banner.
    2. Tap Resume Notifications Now.
    3. Confirm that you wish to resume notifications by pressing OK

    Once your notifications are resumed, you will start receiving new evaluation requests again.
