This guide explains how to install a Nobi Bridge or Nobi Bridge Duo and connect an existing wired tool to it.

What
Installing the Nobi Bridge means mounting it on the wall and plugging the wired tool into it. The Bridge can be mounted with the adhesive backing on the back of the device, or with screws through the screw holes, so no wiring and no drilling into the tool itself is needed.
A Nobi Bridge takes one wired tool. A Nobi Bridge Duo takes two, using a stereo channel splitter (3.5 mm TRS to dual TS). You can check the label on the back of the device to see which one you have.
Why
Where you mount the Bridge decides how well it works. It has to sit in the same room as the Nobi light for the Bluetooth signal, and close enough to the wired tool that the cable reaches without being stretched or in the way.
Mounting it properly the first time also means it stays put. A Bridge that comes loose or gets knocked off the wall can pull the cable out of the jack, and the tool then stops triggering Nobi.
Detailed steps
Follow the steps below to mount the Nobi Bridge and connect a wired call cord, pressure mat, call button, head switch, or other existing tool to it.
- Choose a spot for the Bridge that is within reach of the cable of the wired tool, out of the resident's way, and in the same room as the Nobi light you wish to pair the Bridge to.
- Clean the wall or surface so it is dry and free of dust.

Mount the Bridge, using either the adhesive backing or the screw holes.
- Adhesive: remove the adhesive backing from the back of the Bridge and press the Bridge firmly onto the wall or surface for a few seconds.
- Screws: hold the Bridge in place, then fix it to the wall through the screw holes on the back of the device.
- Adhesive: remove the adhesive backing from the back of the Bridge and press the Bridge firmly onto the wall or surface for a few seconds.
- Connect the wired tool to the Bridge, using the 3.5 mm jack adapter that matches your tool. On a Nobi Bridge Duo, use the splitter adapter if you are connecting two tools.
- Check that the cable is not stretched, pinched or hanging where someone can trip over it.
